Request a SessionWhether you're brand-new to RC racing or an experienced racer looking to sharpen your skills, the SDRC Ambassador Program is designed to help you improve your car, your driving and your confidence on the track.
Racers of all ages and skill levels can schedule one-on-one time with an SDRC Ambassador.
Your First Session
Your initial session will focus on evaluating your race vehicle and making sure everything is operating correctly and ready for the track, including:
- General vehicle operation and race readiness
- Correct steering-system operation and settings
- Radio and ESC calibration
- Differential operation and condition
- Tire preparation
Future Sessions
Once your car is working properly, future sessions can focus on driving strategies and race craft tailored to your individual ability and experience. Topics may include:
- Racing lines
- Jump technique
- Consistency
- Passing and defending your position
- Traffic management
- Overall race strategy
Meet your ambassador
Tyler Hicks
Our first SDRC Ambassador is Tyler Hicks. Sessions typically last approximately 60 minutes and cost $40 per appointment. Tyler is offering appointment times around his work and personal schedule, so availability will be limited. Get your name on the list, and sessions will be arranged at a time that works for both you and Tyler.
